HASC Website Terms of Service
By using this website you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out on this webpage. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, you must refrain from using this website.
This website is owned and operated by High Assurance Security Centre C.I.C., a community interest company registered in England and Wales under company number 16702198, whose registered office is at 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE (referred to in these terms and conditions as 'we', 'us', or 'our').
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, all materials used on this website (including text, graphics, logos, icons, sound recordings and software) are subject to copyright, trade mark or other intellectual property rights that are owned or licensed by us.
If you are a member, or you access this website on behalf of a member organisation, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use those materials for your own internal business purposes. That licence does not extend to redistributing them outside your organisation, reselling them, or creating derivative works from them, in each case without our prior written approval.
If you are not a member, you may use the publicly available materials on this website for your own personal or internal reference. You must not republish, redistribute, resell or create derivative works from those materials, except to the extent permitted by law or where you have received prior written approval from us.
Some material made available through this website, including the names, trade marks, logos and product information of third-party manufacturers and the certification data published by third-party assurance schemes, is the property of those third parties. Such material is used to identify and describe the products and schemes concerned. HASC claims no ownership of it, and its inclusion does not imply any endorsement of HASC by, or affiliation with, the owner. All other rights in the material on this website are owned by or licensed to HASC.
Member Content and Confidentiality
Some areas of this website are available only to members. Material you access through those areas — including reports, insights, briefing notes, working group material and anything shared during closed-door sessions — is provided for you and your organisation, and must stay within the membership.
You may discuss and circulate that material on HASC platforms, at HASC events, and within your own organisation's shared membership spaces. You must not publish it, forward it outside those settings, or otherwise make it available to people who are not covered by a HASC membership, without our prior written approval.
Where a session is held under the Chatham House Rule, you are free to use the information shared, but you must not identify or attribute it to any speaker or participant, or name their organisation.
Misuse of member material may result in access being suspended or withdrawn, for the individual or for the organisation.
Liability
We make no warranties or representations about this website or any of its content, and to the maximum extent permitted by law we exclude any liability that may arise due to your use of our website and/or the information or materials contained on it, including for any direct or consequential loss suffered in connection with that use.
Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
If you use this website in the course of a business, you agree to indemnify us for any loss or liability arising out of that use.
Material You Send Us
You may send us material through this website — product requests, bug reports, feature requests, expressions of interest, enquiry forms, feedback, and the questions you put to Policy Navigator. You keep ownership of anything you send us.
By sending it, you grant us a licence to use it for the purposes of operating, supporting and improving the platform and the services described on this website. Where we use it in anything we publish, we will do so in a form that does not identify you or your organisation, unless you have agreed otherwise.
Please do not send us material you are not free to share — in particular anything confidential to a third party, anything subject to a security classification, or anything containing personal data about other people beyond what a form asks for. How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy.
Training and HAST Academy
Training described on this website is delivered by High Assurance Security Training Limited (HAST, trading as HAST Academy), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16865309, whose registered office is at 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA. HAST operates under an exclusive licence from HASC. HASC and HAST are separate companies and there is no cross shareholding between them.
Who you contract with for a course depends on how you obtain it:
- Where a course is included in your organisation's membership, your contract for that training is with us, under these terms and your membership terms.
- Where you buy a course that is not included in your membership, or where you are not a member, your contract for that training is with HAST and is subject to HAST's terms, not these ones.
- Where your contract is with HAST, our role is limited to describing the courses, applying any member discount, and passing your booking details to HAST so they can deliver the course.
