Frequently asked

Questions we hear most often

HASC is Cyber Essentials Plus certified, a corporate member of the UK Cyber Security Council, and a member of ADS.
Members are placed in whichever tier is higher by annual turnover or staff count. Small: under £1m turnover or under 50 staff. Medium: £1m to £10m turnover or 50 to 249 staff. Enterprise: £10m+ turnover or 250+ staff, which is priced by proposal — talk to us and we will scope it with you.
Yes. Price is set by organisation size, not by feature set — Policy Navigator, Assured Products, the Global Security Profiler, the Security News Feed, members-only reports and the 15% HAST Academy discount are included at every tier.
A company representative applies on behalf of the organisation. Once active, HASC registers your organisation's email domain, and any colleague who signs up with a matching company email address automatically receives member access — no manual invitation is required.
No. Material from the member areas — reports, insights, briefing notes and anything shared in a session — is for you and your organisation, and it needs to stay within the membership. You are free to use and discuss it on HASC platforms, at HASC events, and in your own organisation's shared membership spaces. Please don't publish it or pass it on to people outside those settings without asking us first. Where a session runs under the Chatham House Rule, use what you learn, but don't attribute it to a speaker or their organisation.
We use it to run your membership, answer your enquiries and understand how the platform is being used so we can improve it. We do not sell it. The platform runs in HASC's own Microsoft Azure subscription, and anything you ask Policy Navigator stays inside it — questions go to Azure OpenAI in that same subscription, never to a public AI service, and Microsoft does not use them to train its models. A small number of suppliers process data for us: Microsoft for hosting, sign-in and email, and Sentry for error reports. If you book training, your booking details go to HAST Academy so they can run the course. On the public site we also use Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used and Google Ads to measure which of our adverts lead to enquiries, but both stay off unless you accept them in the cookie banner. Our Privacy Policy sets all of this out in full, along with your rights, including how to get a copy of your data or have it deleted.
