Global Security Profiler

Country signals from named sources, never blended into one number

Security signals for every country across terrorism, criminality, conflict, sanctions, flight restrictions and natural disaster. Each layer is one named source, so you always know whose assessment you are reading.

Uniform clarity

One layer, one source, one date

The map shows a single named layer at a time. A country amber for sanctions and green for terrorism is two separate facts from two separate sources.

How to read it

From the map to the operative guidance

The Global Security Profiler is a route to the official position, not a replacement for it: every category ends at the authority that governs the decision.

  1. Layer

    Choose one category

Six scored categories, each drawn from its own dataset.

No aggregate score, and no weighting of one category against another.

  2. Country

    Open the profile

The country view breaks the picture down by category.

Each statement carries the source it came from and when that source was refreshed.

  3. Authority

Follow it out to the source

FCDO travel advice, the UK Sanctions List, NPSA and UKSV material.

Allied advisories can sit alongside the UK position; where they disagree, that is worth knowing.

Source coverage

What each layer is made of

Each layer draws on a single published dataset, from UK government sources and recognised international indices. The tool names the source and refresh date for each layer, and shows "no data" where it holds no value rather than estimating one.

The Profiler is a starting point, not the decision. The linked official guidance governs.
